The 2025 Tata Sumo 7 is an iconic SUV that is making a comeback in the Indian market. This 7-seater SUV combines the ruggedness of yesteryear with the technology of today. It is designed to suit the needs of families, fleet owners and adventure enthusiasts.
New Bold Exterior Design

The exterior design of the new Tata Sumo 7 is attractive and strong, with projector headlights with LED DRLs, a honey grille, and muscular lines. The colour options are dual-tone, with explosive alloy wheels and a sure mileage. All of this gives the car a modern edge.
Modern Interior and Features
Its interior has been completely renovated, and all the luxury amenities found in nearby cars are also available here. It has a seating capacity of 7, with leatherette or fabric seating options. Features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital cluster, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, tri-zone climate control, etc. Tata is also offering its iRA connected car technology with it, which includes features like digital key, geofencing, remote diagnostics, etc.
Engine Options and Mileage
The Sumo 7 is offered with multiple engine options, most notably a 2.0-litre turbo diesel (170PS/350Nm), a 2.0-litre turbo petrol (160–190PS) with manual and automatic gearboxes available. The mild hybrid diesel version will return a mileage of around 28 km/l. The electric model is also expected to be launched by the end of 2025, with a 60kWh battery, a range of 400 km, and a fast charging system in 30 minutes.
Strong Chassis and Suspension System
The SUV will be based on a ladder-on-frame chassis, which has been reduced in size through the use of high-strength steel. From an engineering standpoint, it is likely to get a double wishbone suspension at the front and a leaf spring or multi-link at the rear. The 210–250mm ground clearance will make it suitable for all roads in India.
