This feature is currently being rolled out for beta users. With the help of this feature, you will be able to identify manipulated media files on WhatsApp. This feature can be seen in the new beta version 2.24.23.13 of WhatsApp.
According to the report, the name of this feature is ‘Search on the Web’ and the image lookup feature is being tested. According to the WABetaInfo report, after this update, beta testers will be able to use the new feature in the media viewer while opening images in the chat. This new feature performs reverse image search, which asks the user for permission to upload images.
WhatsApp has made it clear that this feature relies on Google’s reverse image search functionality and no processing is done on the images without the user’s consent. After the image is searched, the image is sent to Google, but WhatsApp does not keep the image. WhatsApp only uses Google to get the correct information. This protects your privacy and allows you to easily check the authenticity of the photos.
For now, this feature is only available if you download the beta version of WhatsApp from the Google Play Store. But soon WhatsApp will make this feature available to all users.

To use this feature, you have to click on the image you want to check.
After that, you have to click on the three dots and select the option “Search the web”.
