Huawei launched its foldable phone Huawei Mate X6 in China in November. The foldable phone has a 7.93-inch main display and a 6.45-inch outer display. Now, Huawei has revealed the launch date of this smartphone on X Post. So, let’s know when this phone will be released and its features.

Huawei has announced on X Post that a global launch event will be held in Dubai on December 12. While the company has not confirmed the products that will be introduced at the event, the post includes the hashtag “#UnfoldtheClassic”. This suggests that the recently launched Huawei Mate X6 foldable will be launched in select global markets on that day.

Features of Huawei Mate X6

The Huawei Mate X6 mobile features a 6.45-inch (1,080×2,440 pixels) quad-curved OLED outer screen with 1440Hz high-frequency, PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

Both the main and cover displays of this Huawei Mate X6 smartphone have adjustable refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen also has Kunlun Glass protection. This phone Collector Edition has second-generation basalt-tempered Kunlun Glass protection.

The new Huawei foldable phone is expected to be powered by the latest Kirin 9100. The Huawei Mate X6 has 12 GB of RAM and is available in 256 GB and 512 GB storage options. It is paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. The phone runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 out-of-the-box.

Talking about the camera, the Huawei Mate phone features a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto macro camera on the rear with OIS support. For selfies, the handset has two 8-megapixel cameras.

The Huawei Mate X6 packs a 5110 mAh battery, while the Collector’s Edition has a 5200 mAh cell. All variants come with support for 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W wireless reverse charging. The phone has been given an IPX8 rating to be dust and water-resistant.
