Narayaneente Moonnanmakkal – Amazon Prime
Narayaneente Moonnanmakkal is a film produced by Goodwill Entertainment, a banner that has produced many super hit films in Malayalam, and directed by Sharan Venugopal. The film was released in theatres on February 7 and received good critical acclaim. The film stars Joju George, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Alencier Lopez in lead roles. The film is now available on OTT on Amazon Prime Video on March 09.
Ponman – Jio Hotstar
Ponman starring Basil Joseph is a Malayalam comedy thriller directed by Jyotish Shankar and is receiving good reviews from the audience. It was released in theaters on January 30, 2025. The film collected around Rs 10 crore at the box office. The film also stars Basil Joseph, Sajin Gopu, Lijomol Jose, Anand Manmadhan and Deepak Parambol. Now ‘Ponman’ is released on OTT on Jio Hotstar on March 14, 2025.
Officer On Duty – Netflix
Officer on Duty, starring Kunchacko Boban, is one of the few notable films to come out in Malayalam this year. The film is written by Shahi Kabir. The film is directed by Jeethu Ashraf. The action thriller hit the theatres on February 20. Apart from Kunchacko Boban, Priyamani, Jagadish, Vishakh Nair, Manoj K.U., Ramzan Muhammad, Unni Lalu, Jaya Kurup, Vaishakh Shankar, Vishnu G. Warrier, Lia Mamman and Aishwarya are also playing important roles.
The film is streaming on the leading OTT platform Netflix on March 20. Apart from Malayalam, it is also available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
Pravinkoodu Shappu – Sony Liv
Pravinkudu Shappu is directed by Sriraj Srinivasan and stars Soubin Shahir, Basil Joseph and Chemban Vinod Jose in lead roles. The film, which was released on January 16, was produced by Anwar Rasheed under the banner Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. The cinematography of the film is done by Shaiju Khalid after the hit film ‘Manjummal Boys’. The film Pravinkoodu Shappu is being released on OTT through Sony Liv on April 11th.
Painkili – Manorama Max
The film, which focuses on romance and comedy, is directed by actor Srijith Babu. Pinkili hit the theatres on February 14, Valentine’s Day. Jithu Madhavan writes the screenplay. The film also stars Chandu Salimkumar, Abu Salim, Jisma Vimal, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Riyaz Khan, Ashwathi B, Ambili Ayyappan, Pramod Uppu, Alluppan, Sharadamma, Vijay Jacob, Devanand, Deepu Panicker, and others.
Manorama Max has acquired the film’s streaming rights. Pinkili is reportedly expected to be released on OTT by the last week of March.
