The final part of the much-talked about and popular Malayalam thriller film ‘Drishyam 3’ starring Mohanlal has been officially announced. Director Jeethu Joseph has completed the story outline and will start shooting soon. Georgekutty, whom we saw in the previous parts, is now devising a new strategy to save his family. The film, which will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu, is expected to have an impact across India. The film is likely to release on October 2, 2026 and the curiosity among fans has increased to see how the story will end this time.
Story and climax completed
On February 20, 2025, Mohanlal announced the film along with director Jeethu Joseph and producer Anthony Perumbavoor.In July 2025, Jeethu Joseph had completed the first draft of the film. He wrote the climax at 3:30 am, which he said was both rewarding and stressful work.
Filming and language plans
The film’s shooting is scheduled to begin in October 2025. There are discussions about shooting the Hindi and Malayalam versions simultaneously. There are also plans to release a Telugu version.
Drishyam 3 Release Date
According to an official announcement made by Panorama Studios in May 2025, the Hindi version starring Ajay Devgn will be released on October 2, 2026. Expectations are high as the previous part took place on Gandhi Jayanti.
Cast
Mohanlal is returning as his iconic character George Kutty.
Ajay Devgn will be seen in the role of Vijay Salgaonkar in the Hindi version.
Jeethu Joseph is the writer and director of the Malayalam version. Abhishek Pathak is the director of the Hindi version.

Like the previous parts, this part is likely to be released on Amazon Prime Video after the theatrical release.
