Samsung has taken foldable phone technology to the next level with its new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York on July 9, 2025, the device will go on sale globally from July 25. It is immediately attracting attention in the premium phone market with its unique combination of design, power and innovation.
The lightest and slimmest design
It is the lightest of all foldable phones launched by Samsung – just 215 grams. The thickness is only 8.9 mm when closed and 4.2 mm when opened, which is about 35% less than the previous model. It comes with a strong Advanced Armor Aluminum, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and a new Armor Flex Hinge. It also provides IP48 standard dust and water protection.
Impressive displays
It has two great Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens:Main display: 8-inch QXGA+ (1968×2184 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate, 2600 nits brightness.Cover display: 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080×2520 pixels), 120 Hz, easy to use with one hand.Excellent color, contrast, and fast refresh rate provide the latest experience for video, gaming, and work.
Power and AI features
The new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor is also available with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage options. It offers features such as real-time AI assistance, Circle-to-Search, horizontal window editing through about 41% NPU reinforcement. The user experience has been improved through various AI features in One UI8 based on Android 16.
Camera capabilities
First of all, it has a 200 MP primary camera for the first time. There are also 12 MP ultra-wide, 10 MP telephoto (3x optical zoom) and two 10 MP selfie cameras. It helps in high-level photography and video creation with better photos, night mode, 10-bit video, Audio Eraser, etc.
Battery and charging
It has a 4,400 mAh battery, which offers 25 W wired charging (50% in 30 minutes), 15 W wireless and 4.5 W reverse wireless charging. Although fast charging is not available, it offers good battery management with the help of AI.
Connectivity and Security
5G, Wi-Fi7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual SIM + eSIM and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor are included. Security features like Samsung Knox Vault, KEEP (Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection) protect the phone’s data and privacy.

Available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jet Black and an online-exclusive Mint color. The price in India starts at ₹1,74,999 (for the 256 GB variant). It has been announced to be $1,999 in the US and AUD2,899 in Australia.
