According to the IDC report, Vivo has the highest market share in the first quarter of 2024. This company has recorded a growth of 17.2 percent this year compared to last year. Samsung is in second place in the list of top 3 and Xiaomi is in third place.

Vivo recorded a 15.8% growth in the smartphone market, driven by Vivo’s Y series, Vivo’s new T3 and Vivo V40 models.

Oppo came in second with a 13.9 percent market share in sales of the Oppo A3x, K12x and Reno 12 series, making the company the second-largest smartphone brand in the world.

Samsung slipped to third place with a 12.3 percent market share, a 19.7 percent year-on-year decline.

Realme managed to secure fourth place with a 15.1 percent market share.

Xiaomi slipped to fifth place with an 11.4 percent market share.

Apple is recognized as a premium brand, growing 8.6 percent year-on-year through 2024, and capturing the sixth spot in phone market share.

Poco is in 7th place with a 5.8 percent share, while Motorola is in 8th place with a 5.7% market share. Similarly, smartphone brands IQOO and OnePlus are in 9th and 10th place with 4.7% and 3.6% market share, respectively.

The premium smartphone market is growing, with Apple commanding a 71 percent share in the premium segment, where phones start at Rs 50,000 to Rs 68,000. Apple recorded its biggest-ever sales of 4 million units in the quarter, led by the iPhone 15 and iPhone 13 models. But Samsung’s share fell to 19%. The top models include the iPhone 15/13/14, Galaxy S23 and OnePlus 12.
